About Us

Welcome!

Opentronix started in 2015 as a team of two makers – Ana and João – who believed in open source, and enjoyed sharing the little bits of they were making at the time.

From Minmi, a low-budget 3D printer, to a small lamp, the Little Home Lamp, or their own weather station, the ideia was always to share and make Opentronix grow.
In 2016, they successfully presented all these projects at the Mini Maker Faire, in Barcelona and at the Maker Faire, in Lisbon. During both events they always had great feedback and…everyone loved their ‘Makes’!

With time, while finishing their PhDs, Ana and João ended up engaging with other projects. Opentronix paused for a long time.

Currently, Ana is taking the wheel focusing on educational content.

Enjoy the project.
